We had a Tailgate party today at work. This also doubled as our Customer Appreciation Day. Go figure that the one day that we plan something outdoors, it rains. All day. I mean, it's been dry for months now, but it rains today... It was very hot and muggy outside today. (For those of you that don't live around here). I stupidly took the time this morning to straighten my hair. I should've just blow dried it and thrown it back in a ponytail or up in a clippie. About half an hour after I got to work, I was soaked. Shari and I were "volunteered" to put up the canopy. We are the two tallest girls in the branch, soo.. We got soaked from doing that, too. All in all it was a very nice day. Our customers seemed to love it.
After work, Angie and I went over to the Extreme Makeover house. It's close to where she lives. It was pure chaos over there! You could not even tell that you were in a neighborhood. The house is beautiful. It's huge in comparison to the other homes in the area. The family's old house was 1,000 square feet and this new home is 4,000 square feet. It's a tan color in the middle with stone on the ends of it. As we were standing there, Paul (one of the designers) walked right past us! He was within 5 feet of where we were standing.
That's a picture of him. He walked on past us to the house. Where he disappeared and we didn't see him again. A little while later a roar went through the crowd and then we looked across from us and there stood Rib Hillis! Another designer. He's so freaking hot!
He disappeared for a bit. Then all of a sudden, he reappears! Right in front of me! So, I got to meet him. How cool is that?!? I snapped a couple of pictures with Angie's camera as I forgot mine at home... I hope that the photos turn out. She has a regular camera and I'm used to my digital one.
I may go back out to the house tomorrow or Sunday. The big reveal is on Sunday, but good luck getting to see anything on that day. The house is on a cul-de-sac. It's really tight back there. I don't know how they're going to get massive crowds back there.
I work tomorrow morning, simply because I'm a nice girl. I volunteered to work for Jenny. It's at this moment, that I'm regretting that decision. I do NOT want to work in the morning. I should though... I mean... It is my only plans for the weekend. I have nothing else going on that I know of.
I'm going to go now. Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you when I see you...
